General Product Description
We keep in stock what we refer to as “blanks” which are models finished to the stage of primer painting so that they are ready have the final chosen livery or markings applied. By doing this we can slightly speed up the overall production time of the model. All you need to do is to purchase the “blank” version and then to email us images of what airline livery, markings or colors we should apply. You will note that we charge slightly more for these “ready to paint” models due to the fact that our setup costs for model liveries we have not made before are higher than for those we have done before.
Once you have chosen your own version PlaneArts will copy your choice or design exactly as it is on the real aircraft. It will come as standard with a robust, durable base or stand which is available in a variety of different finishes designed to match your own personal requirements including solid wood, wood with polished metal supports or adjustable wood wall mount and will be ready within about 8-10 weeks from placement of order.
The model will be made of the finest kiln dried renewable mahogany wood (commonly known as Lauan or Meranti) which has undergone many stages of carving and meticulous and careful sanding giving the beautiful, finished museum quality masterpiece. Many collectors and model connoisseurs demonstrate their preference for genuine handmade and hand painted mahogany wood models rather than plastic or die cast (diecast) alternatives due to the overall look and totally different feel of the item - we trust you will find the same. We can however, if required produce the same model in Solid Cast Resin so just click and contact us for further information. Our craftsmen and gifted artisans ensure that our finely handcrafted model airplanes match the precise blueprint details of the original aircraft.
We can also make bespoke scale replicas of any other private / civil commercial airliner or airliners, helicopter, glider, gliders with engines, military jet, warplane jets, propeller warplanes, biplane, triplane, tail fin, spacecraft, rocket or NASA model you require in any airline, military or civilian livery or colors. We also produce model airships, blimp, dirigible, blimps, boat and ship collectibles. Wall plaque or seal for military, government or private customers. Soaring Efficiency: The Embraer ERJ 145’s Enduring Legacy
In the annals of regional aviation, the Embraer ERJ 145 stands out as a remarkable testament to efficiency, reliability, and enduring design. Launched by the Brazilian aerospace giant Embraer in the mid-1990s, this twin-engine, regional jet airliner quickly became a favorite among airlines and passengers alike for its operational efficiency, performance, and comfort. The ERJ 145’s design, features, and versatility have enabled it to carve out a significant niche in the regional aviation market, demonstrating Embraer’s capacity to innovate and adapt to market needs.
Design and Technical Features:
The Embraer ERJ 145 was designed with a focus on efficiency, which is evident in its aerodynamics, engine performance, and fuel consumption. The aircraft’s slim, high-aspect-ratio wings are optimized for high-performance flight at cruising altitude, while the Rolls-Royce AE 3007 turbofan engines offer a blend of power and fuel efficiency, propelling the ERJ 145 to speeds of up to Mach 0.78.
One of the ERJ 145’s most notable design features is its straight-wing configuration, which differs from the swept-back wings seen on many jet airliners. This design choice reflects the aircraft’s operational environment, prioritizing efficiency and performance on short to medium-haul flights. Furthermore, the ERJ 145 boasts a T-tail configuration, which enhances stability and control at lower speeds, making it ideal for the variety of airports it serves, including those with shorter runways.
Cabin Comfort and Versatility:
Inside, the ERJ 145 offers a comfortable and pleasant flying experience for passengers. The cabin is configured with a 1-2 seating layout, ensuring that every passenger has either a window or an aisle seat, thereby maximizing comfort and convenience. The aircraft accommodates up to 50 passengers, striking a balance between capacity and intimacy that has become a hallmark of the ERJ 145 experience.
The versatility of the ERJ 145 extends beyond passenger comfort. The aircraft has been developed into several variants to meet different market needs, including the ERJ 135 and ERJ 140, which offer different seating capacities, and the EMB 145XR, a longer-range version that allows airlines to operate the aircraft on more extended routes without sacrificing efficiency.
Operational Efficiency:
The ERJ 145’s operational efficiency is a key factor in its success. Its design and engineering enable airlines to achieve lower operating costs per seat, which is critical for the competitive regional aviation market. The aircraft’s reliability and ease of maintenance further enhance its appeal to airlines, ensuring that the ERJ 145 remains a valuable asset in their fleets.
Legacy and Future:
The Embraer ERJ 145 has established a lasting legacy in the regional aviation sector. With over 1,200 units delivered worldwide, its presence in the skies is a testament to its enduring appeal and the foresight of Embraer’s design and engineering teams. As the aviation industry evolves, the ERJ 145 continues to serve as a benchmark for regional aircraft, blending performance, efficiency, and passenger comfort in a package that has stood the test of time.
In conclusion, the Embraer ERJ 145’s blend of operational efficiency, versatile performance, and passenger comfort has ensured its place in the annals of aviation history. As airlines continue to navigate the challenges and opportunities of regional air travel, the ERJ 145 remains a symbol of Embraer’s commitment to innovation, quality, and the enduring value of well-designed aircraft.
